Saturday Ski

The groomers groomed skate lanes on all trails last night. Be aware of icy conditions on south facing hills in particular. Warm temperatures, sun, and snowplowing have made Ginny Lane into a solid sheet of ice on the steep hill, and there are other similar patches. Little can be done to restore classic track until we get more snow.

Warming temps

The groomers set classic track on select trails last night to replace some beat up sections. Temperatures are forecast to climb the next few days before the next snow event Sunday and Monday.

Thursday ski report

The groomers cleaned up skate lanes on all trails last night. Classic track was reset in a few places. It looks like a warm weekend with more snow forecast for Sunday into Monday. Enjoy!!

Calm and Cold

Groomers were back up this morning and finished cleaning up the trails that were too windblown yesterday. Groomers will also be removing a tree from upper North Star this morning, so be extra careful on that trail.

Windy with a chance of snow drifts

The groomers were able to set classic track and groom skate lanes on most trails today. Please note that there is an Aspen tree down across the entire trail on the top right hand side of North Star (when descending). The groomers skipped Lazy 8 and Rafter T due to the continuing wind event. They also had to skip Big Dipper, Upper Holden's, Rodeo, and Little Dipper hill because of the combination of an icy base and snow build up on the grooming equipment. Other than that, it was continuing to snow and blow on and off throughout the day.

Some new snow and wind

About 2" of new snow fell Saturday and was groomed in Sunday morning. Groomers are heading up this morning to see what the conditions are like and groom what they are able to. The wind does complicate grooming operations especially on the most exposed trails. Stay tuned for further updates.

And we're back!

The grooming team was able to get the equipment up and running yesterday. They groomed all skate lanes except for Upper Holdens last night. They also set new classic track on the trails affected by windblown snow. Temperatures are supposed to climb today before another round of snow starts tonight and tomorrow.

Equipment problems

Our snowmobiles are not functioning this morning. The groomers are working to fix a couple issues that have cropped up. Hopefully, they will be able to groom by this evening.

Overnight Cold Temps

The overnight cold has really helped us maintain the snow pack so far this February. Groomers cleaned up skate lanes last night on an as needed basis. Gusty winds continue to compromise sections of the classic track with drifting snow.

Groomed and Ready

February conditions have been pretty great this year! And today should be no exception. Skate lanes are groomed and some classic track was re-set last night. Wind continues to be an issue, filling in some spots of classic track. Enjoy another great ski at Spring Gulch!

Did Any of the Presidents XC Ski?

Last night, groomers re-set the classic track and groomed skate lanes on everything, with the exceptions of Out and Back and Big dipper. Groomers report that it was snowing while they were grooming and the windy, so conditioned could be variable.

Groomed, but a little windblown.

Groomers set new classic track and groomed skates lanes yesterday evening, although a blustery, micro-storm was moving in as they were finishing up. Expect some windblown areas and a little dusting of new snow, but otherwise trails are ready to go :) Happy Tuesday!

Sunny Saturday

Groomers were out this morning and cleaned up skate lanes and set more classic track. Another storm is scheduled to hit Sunday into Monday!

Grooming Update

Trails were graded on Friday afternoon, and new classic track was set on most trails Friday evening. The grooming team will be back Saturday morning to clean up the skate lanes.

Smoothing out the bumps!

Groomers will be up this afternoon around 3pm to wipe and grade all trails. (This will help even out the camber on trails after the big storm last weekend.) Then we'll be setting new classic track and grooming skate this evening in preparation for the weekend crowd. Enjoy this beautiful weather!

Mid-Week Ski

Classic track is set everywhere except Big Dipper and skate lanes are groomed with the exception of Upper Holdens. Enjoy a great mid-week ski. Next snow looks like it is coming this weekend.

Classic Track!!

The groomers set classic track and groomed skate lanes on almost all trails last night. (The exceptions are Upper Holdens, Ginny Lane, Out & Back, and Big Dipper.) With single digit temperatures overnight, the tracks should be firm this morning. Get after it!

Snow, roll, repeat . . .

The groomers rolled in 3" to 4" additional inches this morning, and the sun finally made an appearance!

Somebody shook the snow globe.

Groomers rolled in 3"-5" this morning, and more snow was falling while they were there. Enjoy the storm skiing if that's your thing!

after the storm

Groomers re-rolled all trails yesterday. Expect soft conditions for your saturday ski, and no classic track.
