Some new snow and wind
About 2" of new snow fell Saturday and was groomed in Sunday morning. Groomers are heading up this morning to see what the conditions are like and groom what they are able to. The wind does complicate grooming operations especially on the most exposed trails. Stay tuned for further updates.
And we're back!
The grooming team was able to get the equipment up and running yesterday. They groomed all skate lanes except for Upper Holdens last night. They also set new classic track on the trails affected by windblown snow. Temperatures are supposed to climb today before another round of snow starts tonight and tomorrow.
Equipment problems
Our snowmobiles are not functioning this morning. The groomers are working to fix a couple issues that have cropped up. Hopefully, they will be able to groom by this evening.
Overnight Cold Temps
The overnight cold has really helped us maintain the snow pack so far this February. Groomers cleaned up skate lanes last night on an as needed basis. Gusty winds continue to compromise sections of the classic track with drifting snow.
Groomed and Ready
February conditions have been pretty great this year! And today should be no exception. Skate lanes are groomed and some classic track was re-set last night. Wind continues to be an issue, filling in some spots of classic track. Enjoy another great ski at Spring Gulch!
