Moose on the loose 01/14/2022
The grooming team cleaned up skate lanes on all trails last night. Classic track is holding strong for now. A mother moose and her calf have been seen on the trails, and their tracks were evident again last night. Please give all wildlife a wide berth, and if you are lucky enough to spot any charismatic megafauna, view them from a safe distance, and turn around or choose a different trail if necessary. Thank you!!
Skate Lane Touch Up 1/12/2022
Groomers were out last night and cleaned up the skate lanes. Classic track is still skiing great. The overnight cold temps are helping the snow pack, the warmer afternoon temps are not ideal. Independence Run and Hike is hosting a Demo Day and free lessons this Sunday the 16th from 9-1pm. Get in touch directly with Independence to sing-up for lessons or any questions about the event.
Making Tracks on Tuesday 1/11/2022
All three groomers were out last night to overhaul the trails. Thank you groomers! Trails were graded, groomed for skate skiing, and fresh classic track was set on all trails. Temps this week are predicted to be warmer than normal, so we are expecting some potential melt-out on lower trails.

Skating into Monday 01/10/2022
The groomers cleaned up skate lanes on all trails Sunday evening. The classic track from Saturday night got worked pretty hard on Sunday, and will need redoing. The groomers plan to regrade and set fresh classic track on Monday evening. Cheers!
Fresh groom for Sunday skiers 01/09/2022
We received an inch of new snow during the day on Saturday. The groomers were out Saturday night setting new classic track and grooming skate lanes on all trails. Enjoy!!
