
Closed for the Season 3/29/22
Many thanks to all for making the 21-22 ski season at Spring Gulch so great! Thank you to all our members for donating your time, your financial support and your enthusiasm for cross-country skiing! Thank you to groomers, Noah, Robin, and Zack for keeping the trails in great shape, and Monica for being available to fill in! We are closed for the season. Below are some photos from 3/29/22. Saturday 3/26/22
The trails are holding up really well for this time of year. All skate lanes were groomed last night except Rafter T, Little and Big Dipper, Lazy 8, and Roundabout. Have a wonderful weekend ski!
Friday 3/25/22
It was an evening of firsts! First time seeing water flow down frozen classic track like a creek down a canyon and first time Spring Gulch trails have had their own little ponds. Be very careful when it comes to these new nature features as some of them go straight to frozen ground while others have water on top of a deceiving, lovely sheet of ice. Thursday 3/24/22
Skate lanes were groomed last night everywhere except for Big Dipper. The trails have held up well so far with the warmer temps in terms of coverage, but there are some growing icy sections where there is the most sun exposure. Also be aware of slush which can cause rapid deceleration on downhills as the water creates suction with the ski. Skate lanes were groomed everywhere except the out and back. Should be fast and fun spring skating conditions as the snow softens in the sun this morning! Please note that Rodeo is now closed as it was a sheet of ice, and please be careful on south-facing sections which are also melting quickly and becoming very icy. Enjoy!
