Welcome to the Spring Gulch Cross Country Ski trails

Spring Gulch Trail System is operated by the Mount Sopris Nordic Council, a local non-profit organization, and represents a community effort in every sense of that phrase.

Access to these trails is made possible due to the generous permission of the North Thompson Cattlemen’s Association and the Crystal River Ranch for use of their land during the winter months.

Hundreds of hours of hard work by volunteers, professional grooming staff, and thousands of dollars worth of materials and specialized equipment are required to maintain these trails for your enjoyment.

No trail fee is charged at Spring Gulch thanks to the ongoing financial support provided by membership contributions, local government and foundation grants, business sponsorships, and fundraisers. You are encouraged to become a member of the Mt Sopris Nordic Council and help support this community achievement. If you enjoy skiing at Spring Gulch, you can make a contribution or pick up a membership form at the trail head, or follow the link on this website.
