Spring Gulch

The Spring Gulch Trail System is a network of 21+ kilometers of professionally groomed cross-country ski trails, available to the residents and guests of Carbondale, CO. Operated by the Mount Sopris Nordic Council and in partnership with private landowners, Spring Gulch could not exist without the annual memberships and generous donations of our skiers and community. Please consider becoming a Spring Gulch member to help keep our trails groomed and free of charge. We truly appreciate your support!

Wondering if Spring Gulch is open?  Nov. 2022

Spring Gulch is located on private land and is not open to the public until cross-country ski trails are groomed. During the fall the land is occupied by cows and/or hunters. The landowners generously allow us to operate a cross country ski area in the winter, please do not trespass at other times of the year.

We also can't wait to ski and we will make an announcement on our website, through our email and social media when we are open and grooming trails! Sign up for emails here.

If you want to get a start on your ski season Grand Mesa has started some grooming activities and check on trail information from Aspen Nordic for what they have open. Happy skiing!

The Mount Sopris Nordic Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates in partnership with private landowners to provide our community with exceptional nordic skiing.

Spring Gulch offers 21+ km of freshly groomed crosscountry ski trails. From beginner to advanced, we have something for everyone!
