About the Event
Date/Time: Sunday February 12th from 10-11 a.m.
Ability Level: Intermediate/advanced. While you certainly do not need to be a “pro” to take a lesson with one, for the benefit of the small instructional group, we ask that skiers have a basic proficiency with the technique. Skiers should know the basic movements and vocabulary (V1, V2, etc.) and be comfortable ascending and descending the terrain at Spring Gulch.
Instructor Bio:
Sophie Hamilton is a retired professional cross country skier who is finding her new home in the Roaring Fork Valley with husband Simi Hamilton. Both have contributed their expertise to the AVSC Nordic program.
Sophie hails from the Peru, Vermont where she was raised in a family whose last name, Caldwell, is synonymous with cross-country skiing in the Northeast. Growing up immersed in the sport, skiing brought her to the U.S. Ski Team in 2015 by way of Dartmouth College, where…
